I'm pretty sure that an intimate beach ceremony - a secluded stretch of sand, saying 'I do' in between the crashing of the waves - is a dream so many of us Floridians share. Well, this Virginia Key Beach elopement, captured so perfectly by To Love Photographie, is just that: a breezy, beautiful, romantic fantasy come true.
Deyna and Alex met at church, and built a love based on their shared faith and personalities. Says Deyna, "We both share similar beliefs and come from a similar background culturally so our connection was very natural. Both of us are very laid back so we are a good match for each other and love spending time together."
With two pretty large families and a desire to keep the ceremony small, laid-back and without "too much fuss", they decided on an elopement and a later celebration with family and friends. From Deyna: "Roxanne Bellamy of Persnickety Events found a secluded spot on Virginia Key Beach and since we both love the beach being from Miami it was amazing. We could take our time and really enjoy the moment together since no one else was around."
We loved the ceremony since it was personal and heartfelt, watching the sunset, and releasing the lantern together. We felt like it signified us joining together and starting our lives as one.
How sweet and perfect is their wedding pie for two? The couple felt that it would be the perfect end to an unconventional day.
Sigh. Total perfection! Congratulations, Deyna and Alex!
