We're SO excited to finally be able to share the gorgeous results of the 2013 Pensacola Blockparty Wedding with you today! Before we dive in, though, make sure to catch up on the lovely bits of Alanna and Evan's journey that we've shared so far, all captured by the talented Aislinn Kate Photography. Now... it's wedding time!
The two were married in the streets of downtown Pensacola, with the town in attendance, before moving to the Palafox House for their reception.
How priceless was Evan's reaction here!? Alanna's grandfather spoke at the ceremony, and presented them with their first bible; it was a very special moment for the couple.
What's it like to get married downtown, surrounded by a crowd of strangers? Alanna tells us that it was everything they'd dreamed of: "The block party wedding was an experience we will never forget. It was surreal to share our love for each other in front of hundreds, if not thousands of strangers. It may seem intimidating, but we loved everything about it. Evan had been a traveling musician since he was 15 years old, and I am a photographer, so naturally, we connect well with all kinds of people. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way."
As a nod to the years the two spent managing a long-term relationship, Sara Gilliane designed a wedding for Alanna and Evan with a vintage travel theme. As Alanna tells us, "We feel like Sara Gilliane and her team of vendors did an amazing job at making our wedding all about who we truly were as a couple. Throughout our reception there were road maps, globes, typewriters, and post cards to represent our love story. It was beautiful. The vendors blew our minds with their creativeness!"
We really don't have a favorite moment from that day because everything, even the little things, are so special to us.
