Bride Attire: Beachy Regional Style

on by in Weddings & Such

We're back with the second part of our Regional Bridal Style series and today we're talking about the beach bride. Once again we've asked Hilary of Tie the Knot Bridal Couture Collections in Naples and Sasha from Sasha's Bridal Boutique in Miami for their expert advice and the looks they've put together couldn't be more unique!

We'll start with Hilary Noyes' look for a not-so-typical Southwest Florida beach bride. Her Cymbeline gown suggests using natural and light fabrics, but not to sacrifice elegance simply because your toes will be in the sand.

According to Hilary, "Anything is accepted on the beach. Yes, of course styles are designed with a beach setting in mind but don't be afraid to do what you want." Her favorite not-so-beachy gown is Dulcinee by Cymbeline with a her fluffy skirt and flirty, ruffled collar. "What I suggest on the beach or any outdoor space is being cognizant of the fabrics you choose. Wearing natural fabrics can help with the heat and humidity." She also implies that your accessories can bring in the beach or outdoorsy feel you want for your wedding. Add some beaded sandals, a fresh orchid for your loosely curled hair, a tropical bouquet and you are all set!

Finding the perfect Southwest Florida beach location might take some time because there are loads to choose from including state park beach fronts or venues like the South Seas Island Resort. For any beach ceremony, keep your decor on the sand simple and let nature do the work.

Next, Sasha Lappas has created a soft and ethereal look for her version of a Southeast Florida beach bride. Her gown is a long and flowy A-line number from Ivy & Aster with just the right amount of romance added in the details.

Sasha had recently styled a bride for a beach photo shoot so her look was complete! The silk chiffon gown is called "Thoughts of Thee" and has a criss cross bodice and sweet ribbon detail. The rose gold pearl drop earrings and simple hair accessory are beautifully chic along with the natural and airy bouquet finished with hanging amaranthus. Sasha suggests "keeping the makeup light and natural looking" which is a great idea since beach weddings include some sunshine.

The Cheeca Lodge & Spa provides several beach locations complete with tall palm trees, docks and of course, pure white sand. We love that you can have a luxurious experience in a naturally gorgeous setting. Perfect for your big beach day in the Keys!

We love seeing all the looks that our Florida brides put together for their special days from salons all over our Sunshine State. Next, we'll be exploring the traditional bride and how that look has evolved from the norm to a classic that's so chic.
