We're kicking off our Regional Bridal Style series today with two stylists/owners from Sasha's Bridal Boutique of Miami and Tie the Knot Bridal Couture Collection of Naples. Their expertise and fashion sense will help you find the perfect modern gown to wear at your dream modern or offbeat venue.
Sasha's idea of a Modern Florida Bride begins with a Modern Trousseau gown called Mika. She's simple and fitted with just the right amount of flounce below the knee. For more flare to this mermaid dress, Sasha would add a blinged-out black belt and a high bun topped with a crystal hair peice by Maritza's Bridal Veils. Additional details would be red lips, mile-high black glitter pumps and a finger-tip length veil secured just under the bun.
When this bride walks into her wedding at the Alfred Dupont Building her guests' jaws will drop. Sasha says, "This historic bank is stunning, grand and so perfect for a modern wedding."

For her modern bride, Hilary chose a Hollywood-glam inspired gown by Romona Keveza with an extravagant shoulder ruffle. She suggests, "a colorful peep-toe shoe that gives a fun flair while bringing the look altogether. Keep the veiling short and chic to not interfere with the ruffle." Some drop earrings in a similar hue to your heels and lips may be all that you need to complete this look.
The Ringling Brothers Museum of Art in Sarasota would be a fun and cheeky venue for a modern bride's wedding. The punchy accessories and dramatic ruffle detail would look elegant gracing the courtyard's checkered dance floor or roaming the historic galleries.
Stay tuned next week for more Regional Bridal Style when we show you what a beachy Florida bride could look like according to our experts. For more boutiques and venues in your area be sure to check out our Faves in the Floridian Weddings Vendor & Venue Guide!
