We're pretty effusive about our venue crushes, and Estancia Culinaria is right there at the top of our list; it's one of those places that couples (and pros!) fall in love with immediately. So we were quick to snap up this fun, colorful wedding from Minerva Photography - the contrast with the farm's more rustic feel is just so festive!
Alex and Cristina chose Estancia Culinaria in Redland after narrowing down their list according to some 'pretty strict' requirements: they had to be outdoors (to take advantage of the gorgeous Florida winter weather!), they needed to be able to serve up their home brewed beer, they wanted their dog Bailey by their side, and they didn't want any restrictions on when they had to wrap up the reception.
From Cristina: Estancia Culinaria met all of our requirements. Aside from all of that, though, it really is one of the most breathtakingly gorgeous places in all of South Florida. Our first visit was so magical that we instantly knew it had to be the place. We went back again with our moms and they fell just as much in love with it as we did. The family that owns it is also incredibly warm and charming, and some of the nicest people we've ever met. Getting ready there was a really special experience.
The two met and briefly dated in high school, but really reconnected over lunch about two years ago. Things moved much more quickly after that, as they were engaged less than a year afterwards. Says the bride, "We have so much in common, but we really balance each other perfectly where we differ. We're best friends and we really just have the best time together."
How much do you love this shot? Cristina's bridesmaids picked such adorable dresses and accessories! And Cristina, you are stunning.
So many great possibilities for portraits on the farm! Groves, horses... perfection.
Cristina walked down the aisle to the Throne Room Theme from Star Wars; as she explained it, "I think it made everyone laugh a little and took the pressure off."
Cristina and Alex focused their planning on having fun and throwing a great party. They went with a pink and gold palette (Cristina's favorite colors) and added an eclectic mix of fun elements to reflect their personalities, like home brewed beer, beer pong, painted dinosaurs and pink pretzels. Says Cristina, "I think we did a good job of mixing in the quirky elements with more traditional elements, so that it wasn't over the top."
I think we both agree that it was the best day of our lives so far. I've never had more fun in a single day ever. Plus, it really never happens that you have all of your family and friends in one place, just to celebrate and have a great time. It's such an amazing thing.
So fun, right? If you're loving this couple's style, make sure to check out Cristina's equally fun food blog, Sundae Brunch. Congratulations, guys!
