Looking for a few rituals or traditions to add to your ceremony? Sand ceremonies and unity candles are popular options, but we've also seen a ton of other creative ideas over the past two years of real weddings. I'm rounding them up for you today - hope it inspires you to think outside the box!
A sand ceremony during a beach wedding is a natural fit, but you can also mix it up a little by using a non-traditional vessel.
Traditions Old & New
Asal and Michael included several Persian traditions in their wedding, including the one above: a cloth is held over the bride and groom while two sugars are ground over them, showering them with sweetness and happiness. Photo by Soul Echo Studios
Jessica of JCG Events shared this lovely wine box ceremony with us: the couple wrote each other a note and placed them in the box with the wine. They'll open it on their anniversary and drink the wine together. Photo by PS Photography
Tying the Knot
We see a lot of couples tying the knot - which makes complete sense in our seaside Florida lifestyle! Tara and Tyler incorporated this ceremony into their wine-themed wedding in Naples. Photo by Set Free Photography
More Fun & Creative ideas
