Inspired by a pretty vintage crochet bag, Jacqueline of J Morgan Flowers and Aviva of Kiss the Planner joined forces to style a shoot filled with eclectic, vintage, boho-influenced details in a lovely garden tea party setting.
From Jacqueline: I often find that a loved trinket can inspire the whole look of an affair. This again was the case... a treasured crocheted bag got Aviva and I into thinking about how to incorporate it into a complete wedding design. Well, the wheels kept rolling and rolling until we came up with this natural yet stunning garden tea party shoot with a bohemian flair!
We dressed a white washed bookcase with my very own wedding gift tea set, paired with a yummy combination of tea biscuits from around the world to add to this traveling bohemian theme. Antique keys hung with tags for the guests to give the newlyweds the "keys to a happy marriage". When we think of Bohemian we think of being footloose and fancy free! The long peach colored tie dye wedding gown really fit the theme and the vintage suitcase with lace handle that the bride carried down the path really demonstrates the concept. The bride's bouquet was a loose hand tie of antique garden roses, chrysanthemums, stock and woven wooden spheres, tied off with a the most exquisite lace we found in a flea market!
With the help of Jamilah from Jamilah Photography, we found a beautiful riverbank that provided the perfect setting for this natural look. We picked a creamy vintage loveseat and teamed it with a square table and mahogany chairs from Atlas Party Rentals. We selected the most stunning eyelet overlay that mimicked the crocheted pattern of the bag. The table was dressed with brown vintage style urns and vintage brown trunks with a lush mix of antique hydrangeas and antique garden roses mixed with chrysanthemums and sprigs of scented eucalyptus to add to the vintage garden look.
