There are some stories that make you believe in love and this is one of them. Morgan and Stephen have that old fashioned romantic style down pat and they decided on the talented Kat Braman to take the helm with her camera. Inspired by JFK and Jackie O., they ventured to their nearby marina and played in sunshine on a beautiful sailboat...get ready for gorgeousness.
Stephen and I have known each other since we were fifteen. We have several awkward homecoming pictures together and a million funny memories since we grew up loving each other. We officially started dating our sophomore year of college and became weekend warriors on the drives between Tallahassee and Gainesville. This was followed by a move to Chicago, two law school graduations and bar exams, a big move back home to Florida and now we call West Palm Beach home.
When Stephen was asked, “When did you know you would marry Morgan?” by her best friend, his reply was, “I always knew.”
Christmas is Morgan’s favorite time of year and due to this oh-my-amazing proposal, I don’t think that’s changing anytime soon. “2012 was our first Christmas living together and we decided we needed a few special ornaments to add to the tree. We ran to the store one weekend and picked out an ornament that was special to us and I was thrilled to start a new tradition. A few days later, while getting dressed up for a nice dinner, Stephen said, ‘I got us another ornament for the tree.’ I was excited to see what he had picked but had no clue what was coming. I rushed to the tree, scouring for something new….and then I saw it. A new ornament with the written words ‘Will you marry me?’ I turned around and he was on his knee. I wouldn’t let him take the Christmas tree down until February.”
For their engagement session photos, Morgan was inspired by an image of Jackie O. and JFK laughing on a sailboat. It was perfectly classic, timeless, and very them. “Since we did the shoot right across the bridge from our condo the pictures were made even more special with our first home together showing up in the background. It was a beautiful day and our incredibly talented photographer Kat Braman gave us memories to last a lifetime.”
Moving back to Florida has given us the opportunity to make so many memories in the salt and sun. We love boating, walks on the beach, watching football on the balcony of our condo, visiting the Green Market, and the art festivals at the marina.
These two are tying the knot this coming January and are most looking forward to celebrating with all their favorite people who have supported their love through the years. Congratulations, you guys! xo
