For two lovers of nature, history, and Miami, the lighthouse and beach at Bill Baggs Park was the perfect engagement session location. Another great choice: Michelle of Minerva Photography, who captured this couple's personalities and love for each other in just the right way.
Stephanie and Raymond thought the beach would be the perfect location to represent who they are and what they love in their photos, but they also wanted something beyond the typical toes-in-the-sand portraits. Enter the lighthouse, which added just the right amount of interest to their session.
The couple met in high school, but there was no love connection until years later when they both wound up at FIU; even then, it was a slow start. Says Stephanie, We ran into each other a lot around campus and on the weekends; we always seemed to be at the same places. We started hanging out, going to sporting events and movies, etc. with friends which lead to one-on-one dates. Six months later he asked me to be his girlfriend and now after 6 years full of friendship, love and laughter we are planning our wedding.
Raymond proposed last April: We had been studying at school all day and finally made it to his house to relax. I was completely shocked when he asked me to pass him a pillow, and underneath it was a little box. He then got on his knee, proposed and made me happier than ever.
Michelle captured our relationship perfectly and we loved the photos. Before anything Raymond and I are best friends and that is why our bond is so strong. We are extremely excited to be getting married in February of 2014 and look forward to a wonderful life together!
