Today's first engagement session is a beautiful, light-filled, oceanside stunner sent to us by one of our faves, Captured Photography by Jenny. Jenny met up with this gorgeous couple in Palm Beach Shores to snap a few pictures before they moved across the ocean... to Lithuania!
McCall met her husband-to-be at FSU four years ago, after Deividas moved here to pursue his dream and attend the university on a basketball scholarship.
Deividas proposed last May in Vegas, while they were visiting his high school host family. From the bride: He told me he wanted to take me to dinner the night before I left (he was headed back to Lithuania to play for the Lithuanian Olympic Team all summer and I was headed home to Palm Beach). He said he somehow got us reservations at an amazing members-only restauraunt, The Foundation Room, on top of Mandalay Bay, that his host family were supposedly members of. He had a limo pick us up and we had a great dinner. Although I did feel very awkward that the chef kept coming to our table and bringing us all this food "on the house". I told Deividas how uncomfortable it was that the chef was confused and clearly thought we were someone important when we aren't. He just laughed.. After dinner, he took me out to this private terrace overlooking the Las Vegas Strip and proposed. It was the best night of my life!
I LOVE the graphic, black & white, barefoot formal look they put together! It's a modern, fresh take on Palm Beach style.
The couple moved to Lithuania a few months ago, after Deividas signed a contact to play with Lietuvos Rytas, a professional basketball team in the capital city of Vilnius. Says McCall, It has been very difficult wedding planning from across the world but my mom and friends back home have been so helpful to me. We'll be getting married in Palm Beach next June and we'll also have a small party over here in Lithuania as well.
Congratulations, you two - I hope you're enjoying your adventure overseas! And big thanks to Jenny for sharing her gorgeous work with us.
