Reception Menu Ideas: Ice Cream Sandwiches

on by in Weddings & Such

Klondikes? Chipwich? Skinny Cows? Who doesn't the love the idea of an ice cream sandwich on a hot sunny day? Living in South Florida we have sunshine and heat all year round but this time of the year is even steamier! We love the idea of offering sweet ice cream sandwich treats to your guests during your reception; here are a few cool ways to incorporate them.

Miniature ice cream sandwiches could be passed to your guests while they dance the night away (photo on left from The Knot, photographed by Kristin Peelle Photography). And we love these heart shaped sandwiches - instead of serving cake to guests, serve them a plated ice cream sandwich, yum! (photos on right from Martha Stewart Weddings)

We are absolutely in love with this ice cream sandwich station set up featured on Libby James and photographed by Tinywater Photography. How fitting that the set up is surf theme; perfect for a beachside Florida wedding.

What a great way to incorporate a piece from one of our favorites, Anthropologie! As featured on Hostess with the Mostess, My Bride Story set up the sandwich toppings in the crate. Bright and cheery for any Floridian couple!
