Today's engagement sesh is all about the lovely: a gorgeous couple in a stunning location, captured so beautifully by one of our Faves, Elaine Palladino Photography. If you haven't visited Estancia Culinaria before, you might be surprised that this session took place in South Florida... we promise you, it did! And it's stunning.
Brian and Deanna met the new/old fashioned way - on JDate. Deanna tells us the chemistry was obvious even before their first date - which sounds like it was a blast: Our first date was at a karaoke bar in South Beach where Brian guessed the tune within a matter of the few notes. Though neither one of us were brave enough to sing that night, we enjoyed everyone else's renditions of pop favorites and were able to share many laughs amongst ourselves. On our one year anniversary we returned to the karaoke bar and I sang for Brian.
I think we're a great match because we serve as a balance for one another. I'm a more flight of the bumble-bee, while Brian is more mellow yellow. He's always been able to make me laugh, reminding me not to take life so seriously. We're also very supportive of one another, Brian will be my support system, or sherpa as I lovingly call him, when I complete my first Half Ironman this summer. I'll be his sherpa as he completes his first full marathon in New York this fall.
These two outdoorsy nature lovers fell in love with the farm from their first visit, and knew it was the perfect shoot location for them. From Deanna: Estancia Culinaria provided the perfect backdrop - romantic, rustic, and serene. It also reminded us of a trip we took to Central Florida visiting various citrus groves. On the day of our shoot, as we were driving down to the farm we hit some rain showers and I was actually worried our shoot was going to be rained out, but as luck would have it, the rain provided a beautiful rainbow for some photos with the horses. We could not have planned it better. Nature was on our side.
Deanna is having a blast planning the wedding, which has been an amazing family experience for her and Brian: Though my family lives in Denver, I was able to go dress shopping with my mother, sister, soon-to-be mother-in-law, and my bridesmaids during a family visit in January. That has been one of the most memorable moments in the planning process thus far. I also feel very blessed having such an enthusiastic support system from Brian's family. His mother has been available to accompany us to all our appointments and his cousins have made excellent recommendations with vendors. It's an incredible feeling to know you are seen as family before it's official.
Congratulations, you two! And big thanks to Elaine for all the lovely... as always, we're honored to be able to share your talent!
