Get excited y'all! This wedding is chock full of sparkle, humor, and two very charming people. And they're both Gator grads who managed to sneak just enough orange and blue into their classy traditional day. Thank goodness the bride's cousin is Erin of Southern Lens Photography, so not one fun detail was missed!
The first bit of sparkly loveliness is in the gorgeous engagement ring that pairs perfectly with Megan's rainbow glitter heels! And the pink and gold letterpress invitations from Sixpence Press are the first of many traditional elements. She honored her grandmother with a beautifully wrapped bouquet of white peonies, and chose to have the men in her life look dapper in classic black tuxedos with just a pop of color. She and Brandon met in 2006 at the University of Florida and, in her words, "We've spent an amazing 6+ years together and he is still making me laugh as hard as when we first met."
We were married at St. Luke's in Oviedo, the church my great-great grandparents attended 100 years ago. It was very meaningful to be married in the place where generations of my family have celebrated life's most special occasions.
And there's our first pop of Gator love! While on the trolleys, Megan and Brandon shared their first toasts and lots of laughs with their wedding party on their way to the reception. Says our stunning bride, "We love Gator football, our two labs Harper and Lilly, entertaining dear family and friends, fishing and spending time on our boat."
Guests were invited back to the Country Club of Orlando where they were greeted with sweet tea cocktails and a romantic room, glowing with love. Coordination by Tickled Pink Brides proved to be a great decision for their wedding day because Megan was overjoyed with the results:
I would not change a thing about the day. Our approach to the evening was to keep it traditional, yet fun and full of our personalities. Hosting a warm, meaningful and fun evening for friends and family was our top priority. Much of the inspiration for our day was drawn from the idea of "old southern elegance" and in particular, the South's iconic magnolia. The save the dates, invitations, drink stirrers, favors and wedding cake all have the beautiful flower incorporated somehow.
And the reception... Brandon and I had so much fun! The food was phenomenal and the band was everything we hoped it would be. It was a great feeling seeing all of the people we love dancing and having such a fabulous time; especially our parents... it was wonderful to soak up the joy on their faces.
My favorite photo of the day! What dad doesn't feel this way after hosting his daughter's dream wedding!?
After a fun sparkler exit and a Rolls Royce getaway, Megan and Brandon's fabulous day was complete. Congratulations, you two!
