This couple brought their photographer, Amita of Moons & Balloons Photography, back to the place where their story began: the University of South Florida. From the nursing school and campus botanical gardens, to nearby Frenchy's Rockaway Grill (where they had their first date) and Clearwater Beach, their session was an adorable recreation of how they met and fell in love.
Andrea and Paul met two years ago at USF's College of Nursing. He sat a few rows behind her in class, and they began talking towards the end of the semester; within a few weeks they were dating. Says Andrea, "I truly did not expect to meet my future husband in nursing school! Our relationship was strong and serious from the beginning. We both knew that it was special early on."
Andrea loves that Paul is funny, forthright and so understanding; Paul loves how he can be 100% himself with her.
Paul proposed on a Thanksgiving trip to Andrea's hometown of North Andover, Massachusetts. He asked her parents for their permission, and popped the question on a post-dinner walk along the ocean in picturesque Newburyport: "On the docks, Paul got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was beautiful and perfect!"
“Our differences complement one another while our similarities bind us together, making us stronger as a couple. Isn't that what relationships are about? Love should strengthen and inspire you to be a better person for your spouse, and I feel that we do that! ”
There was a member of this new little family not present for the session: their six year old daughter, Arianna. Says Andrea, "Although missing from our photos, our relationship would be entirely different without her. She is Paul's daughter but has accepted me as part of the family from the beginning. She started calling me 'mom' over a year ago and nothing makes me more proud than having the privilege of raising her and calling her my daughter! I look forward to watching her grow and learn, and I am excited for our adventures together as a family.
The two are planning a classic, romantic wedding to be held this December, and Andrea tells us that the experience has been an enjoyable one: "So far, knock on wood, the wedding planning has been more exciting than stressful! It's an important day that we are looking forward to as a family!" They've also got the honeymoon down pat: a 10 day cruise to the Caribbean. Big congrats to the three of you!
