Surprise Valentine’s Engagement Inspiration Shoot

on by in Weddings & Such

We are so excited to share this adorable little shoot we put together with Michelle March a couple of weeks ago. The whole idea of a surprise back yard engagement started when I was going through a bag of candy hearts and found the "Marry Me" heart. While some people may think the idea of getting engaged on Valentine's Day may be cliche, I found the idea exciting and sweet! Ladies, envision yourself walking into the backyard on the morning of Valentine's Day and finding this sweet table on your lawn with a surprise engagement set up. I know that I would certainly say YES!

We wanted to put together a simple table that the soon to be groom may have been able to put together by himself. We know that most likely there may have been a little help from the bride to be's girlfriends, however, it could have been doable alone {ok, maybe, depending on the guy}. Laura and I really love an adorable engagement story and while setting this shoot up I must have stated out loud quite a few times, "OH MY, how cute would it be to be proposed to at this little table!"

The thought of wanting an engagement to be personal and simple but still based around the holiday, made us come up with the idea of having a sweet Valentine's Day breakfast. Homemade heart pop tarts, rose champagne and strawberries sounded like an amazing proposal to us!

Hoping the sweetest Valentine's Day to all of you....and maybe a sweet proposal at the end?
