I have been so excited to share this post with you ever since it arrived in my mailbox last week! I received this trash the dress session from the oh so talented Sara Kauss and Josh Newton Photography last week and absolutely loved browsing through the images! Not only is it such a fun photo session of a bride and groom, it is such a fun shoot with four brides and four grooms. Fabulous! How fun is that! Sara asked four couples that are all mutual friends of hers if they would be interested in taking part in a shoot at various locations. You can see from below that they all agreed, and it looks like they had a blast!
They moved the couples around to different locations throughout Jupiter and Palm Beach, Florida: a construction site, a parking lot, the beach and Frenchman's Reserve Country Club.
I would have thought that the brides had known each other for years, nope. Most of the couples did not know each other, but have remained great friends since the shoot. So cute!
I can hear the brides laughing in this photo, it is amazing! What a funky location for a trash the dress session, a parking lot! The brides' purple shoes and their feather headpieces were an amazing addition to the shoot to make it modern and different from their original wear of the dress!
One of the brides shared a really nice comment about the shoot that I wanted to share. This trash the dress session was such a nice reason to put her wedding dress back on and take amazing photographs! Thank you Katie for sharing!
"My husband and I had been married 5+ years and had just had out first baby, my wedding dress had never even been cleaned, and an opportunity to put it back on and have our photos taken again came up. How could I resist?!?! I loved that dress, spent a fortune on it, and only wore it for half a day! All Sara asked was that we come dressed in our wedding attire and that it was an "anything goes" type photo shoot so we could feel free to bring crazy shoes, jewelry and accessories.
"Knowing how talented Sara Kauss is, I was positive I would get fun, artistic, beautiful photos, but I had no idea how much fun I would have! There were a total of four couples and a whole crew, including makeup artists and photographers. We went to several locations via party bus limousine, including a construction site, empty parking garage, and local bar! We have such great memories from this photo shoot, and we are still in touch with the other couples (who we had never met before this shoot). My husband and I have a large canvas taken from this day over our dining room table, the only photo of me in my wedding dress that is currently being displayed in my home!"
What a fabulous shoot! It looked like such a fun day and it makes me think, wow, what a great reason to put your wedding dress on again and get your photo taken with your husband! Thank you so much Sara for sharing with us!!!
