We adore hearing from our reader/brides, especially when they are as hands-on in designing their wedding as Ana was! From her dress to the flowers and a sweet online invitation, this gorgeous bride crafted an intimate, casual, DIY day at the Redland Koi Gardens, captured by the talented Catalina Ayubi.
Ana designed her own gorgeous deep V lace gown, and it was custom tailored by Ofelia. She also crafted her bouquet and all of the floral elements.
Before they first met, Juan Camilo spotted Ana from across the room and knew instantly that they were meant to be. They became friends, and weeks later, when he told her how he felt, she was resistant; having just ended a long-term relationship, she didn't feel ready for anything more. "Just let yourself go with the flow...", he said, and she gave it a small shot. That night spent chatting, laughing and getting to know each other was all it took for Ana to believe.
“He left my apartment and my heart started beating as if it would come out from my chest and in that moment, I understood why I should give this relationship a chance... Ever since we have spent six amazing years of love, dreams, commitment, joy, friendship, complicity, trust and harmony together.”
Their choice of the laid-back Redland Koi Gardens was a perfect fit for the couple's style, personality and spirituality. As the groom hates ties, male guests were instructed not to wear them, and everyone lounged, danced and noshed in the gardens' intimately tropical surrounds.
So lovely, right? Congratulations, you two!
