Italy is Maureen's "favorite place in the entire world", and Brenton is Italian, so when their photographer Becca Borge suggested the rustic, romantic, Tuscan-style Estancia Culinaria, the two knew it was the perfect place for their engagement session.
“When we saw the farm in person, we literally felt like we were transported back to Tuscany or even the countryside of France. We forgot where we were and truly could have stayed forever.”
Maureen and Brenton went to the same college and met a few years ago, at a bowling alley; they were on the same team, but hardly talked to each other. After a time spent randomly bumping into each other - at a party, fair, and even Dunkin Donuts - they became friends and, eventually, fell in love.
Says Maureen, "We are both huge nerds, from mutually quoting movie scenes, to reading comic-books to loving sci-fi. It was natural for our personalities to click, which later turned to falling in love."
Brenton asked Maureen to be his wife on a family day trip down to Key West. Knowing that she had always wanted to swim with Dolphins, he surprised her with the swim and popped the question right there in the water. Says Maureen, "People will tell you a dolphin proposed to me, but I can tell you that wasn't the case!"
The two tied the knot this past March, in a white and ivory themed wedding with a vintage-glam feel at the Coral Gables Country Club. Congratulations, Maureen and Brenton!
