Vintage Travel Engagement: Alanna & Evan in Pensacola Beach

on by in Weddings & Such

We're literally jumping for joy today for this beautiful couple. Not just because they are madly, deeply in love (they are!), and not just because their engagement sesh from the crazy talented Aislinn Kate Photography is over-the-moon gorgeous...

... but also because they are getting married TOMORROW, as the recipients of the fab Pensacola Blockparty Wedding giveaway, with the whole town invited to attend. I mean, does it get any better than this?

The couple chose a vintage travel theme for their wedding, and Sara Gilliane styled their engagement session with that in mind. I asked the bride to tell us it means to the two them: Evan and I have been in a long distance relationship for three years now and have done it all from many miles apart. The vintage travel theme represents who we are as a couple and the many miles we have had to endure in order to make this relationship work. It has been very difficult at times, but in the end it has created a love stronger than we could have ever imagined.

The story of Evan, who's been a touring musician since the age of 15, and Alanna, who is studying photography, begins a few years back and a few states away. Alanna was visiting with her family in Nashville, and wound up sitting across from Evan at his own birthday dinner party. Sparks flew, love at first sight ensued.

On her 21st birthday, Evan took Alanna back to the site of their first date, Landry's in Pensacola. It's "their spot", the place they ate for prom, and where they go for Valentine's Day, their anniversaries, and any other special occasions. This time, it became the place where Alanna said "Yes"! Evan had a music box made for her that played "Going to the Chapel" when opened, and inside was a ring also custom designed just for her.

The challenges of their long distance relationship also influenced them to enter the giveaway. With Evan on tour (as a singer for country music artist Lauren Alaina) it was tough for them to plan and pay for their dream wedding.... but then, all that changed. From Alanna: The Pensacola Blockparty Wedding has been a huge blessing! We had such amazing vendors help us create a wedding beyond anything we could have ever imagined. They are an amazing team with such great ideas, allowing them to think far outside the box. We feel very blessed and grateful for such an incredible gift.

We are SO excited for you two! Best of luck tomorrow, and our best wishes (and heartfelt appreciation) to all the amazing vendors working to bring this couple their dream day. We wish we could be there to see it all come to life! xoxo
