There's something just so romantic about an elopement. Just you with your love. Or in this case, you two and your dog, Romeo! Becky from Luminescence Studios had the right idea to ask Dominique and Joe if they were willing to do a fun portrait session. The results are brilliant!
Dominique and Joe were married at the Miami courthouse in May. To celebrate they took this opportunity and made it into a mini-wedding with all the details included. Everything from her gown and accessories, gorgeous orange blooms, and his sweet bowtie came together awesomely!
Let's talk about this amazing bouquet from Veronica at Anthology Co. for a bit. Shades of orange poppies, green ferns, and a polka-dot wrap! Perfection.
The two lovebirds got ready together with Romeo running around at their feet. They toasted with champagne, ate pizza, and finished the evening with cake. Sounds like a great wedding day!
From the bride, "Joe and I met at the Hard Rock in Ft. Lauderdale in October of 2009. He always says he was immediately taken with me and I was totally into him the second we met. It started off really carefree and we had a long distance relationship from as far a distance as Austria to Miami. After transferring to a university closer to Miami, things got more serious and we fell head over heels in love."
After my graduation I got a job in Miami and we decided to move in together. Six months later he popped the question while I was cooking our favorite meal, spaghetti. I said 'yes' and we had some wine to celebrate our new lives. Since I was heading to Georgia for ten months to work on my masters degree, we decided to get married at the courthouse four months before I left making our bond even stronger for our time apart.
Although we hope to have a bigger wedding or vow renewal ceremony with friends and family in Europe a few years down the road, having this mini-wedding day was truly special. We are just so happy that we can call ourselves a real family with our beloved dog, Romeo!
What a fun day full of beautiful memories! Congratulations, you two!
