So many pretty and personal details to share with you in this wedding that Jessica from JCG Events sent over to us! Melissa and Trey came down from D.C. to tie the knot at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach, and with Jessica's guidance they infused their day with remembrance, family, tradition... and a lot of fun!
The ceremony took place in the Ocean Garden of the Eden Roc Renaissance. The yellow roses decorating the chuppah were in loving memory of the bride's mother, as they were her favorite flower.
As a nod to the couple's D.C. home and love of politics, there were two passed signature drinks during the cocktail hour: "Obama Blue Hawaiian Martini" and the "Romney Raspberry Cosmo".
The groom's family is from New Orleans, so they opted to do the cake pulls: Small sterling silver charms with silk ribbons were baked into the cake, and the single bridesmaids pulled them out. The charm they received determined their fate! The cake itself was designed to resemble her Amsale dress, with the pretty rosettes on the bottom. Her adorable cake topper was custom made out of paper from this amazing Etsy vendor.
To represent the bride's family, Brazilian paraphernalia was handed out during the last hour of the main reception. Guests were treated to a coffee station from Aroma Espresso that ensured everyone had a lot of energy to dance the night away!
Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Jessica! Wishing many happy years ahead to Melissa and Trey.
