There's something so sweetly romantic about an intimate backyard wedding... and when it's French-inspired and filled with bread, imported cheeses, wine, macarons and a seriously gorgeous cake, it's simply irresistable. This sweet little affair from Chelsey Boatwright Photography is the perfect post-holiday treat!
From the gorgeous bride, Samantha: I first met Julien at the gym. He is a trainer and approached me while I was working out to use some sessions I had purchased. I asked him to wait a few minutes for me to finish and, of course, he just pretended I hadn't said anything and continued to try to book a time for me to come in. I trained a few times with him to get use to the feel of the gym. After I completed my sessions he sent me a really nice message letting me know he would help me if I ever needed in the gym. Conversation led into getting together for a drink, because now that I stopped training with him and was allowed to drink. We went out to Art Basel in Miami with a group of his friends and I guess the rest is history. It feels like I've stepped into some crazy love story! We met, move in together a month later, engaged two months later, married just 2 months after that, and now we are off to live in France! It is true when people say "when you know, you know." I couldn't be happier!
I absolutely ADORE his family. His mom really helped us put all this together in only a few months. His parents own a French bakery in Boca Raton called Cote France. This is where they made the traditional American wedding cake and the croquembouche, which is a traditional French wedding cake made up of creme filled puff pastries and arranged into a "tower". And what would any French celebration be without the wine, bread, imported cheeses, and macaroons? Everything was amazing!
I was really lucky to book Chelsey Boatwright as my photographer. The way she uses her creativity to capture the elegance, beauty, charm and delicacy of a wedding is simply stunning. Last minute she recommended a photo booth, and it was a blast! Such a genius addition to our celebration!
I love how the pink, yellow, peach and green palette carried all the way through, from the flowers and desserts to the soft pink napkins and glowing paper lanterns. So simple, elegant and romantic!
Such a great set of photos - that's one fun way to start a toast!
I'm also loving Chelsey's Bash Booth - a fun, modern take on a photo booth. You can fit a ton of people in there, and the backdrop can be pretty much anything you want!
Says Samantha, It rained like there was a hurricane, Michael's ran out of ribbon, and my make-up was done 30 minutes AFTER the ceremony was suppose to begin, but it was PERFECT! I really couldn't have asked for a more suiting wedding for Julien and I. I loved it and these photos will act as a film that we can replay again and again!
Congrats, Julien and Samantha, and best of luck with your new life in France! Big thanks to Chelsey for sharing this sweetness with us.
