We have such prettiness for you today, thanks to Captured Photography by Jenny - a beautiful couple, an adorable "love birds" theme, and gorgeous photos that really make you feel you were right there, enjoying this lovely wedding!
I heart this photo - what a piece of art.
I also heart the gorgeous, look-at-me, bright blue shoes that Sarah wore. And the adorable 'Bridal Entourage' tops? Made by one of Sarah's bridesmaids.
How cute are the messages the couple texted to each other that day? Add this to your must-have photo list!
Sarah looked radiant in her Melissa Sweet dress, and her bouquet of carnations, roses and green hypericum berries was simply elegant.
Isn't the mix of bridesmaids dresses (and the chic nude heels) just perfect? Just another little reminder that your ladies don't have to match to coordinate.
Don't you just love the bird bath centerpieces? It can be challenging to come up with an alternative to your typical floral centerpieces, but these are so lovely and original... Sarah did an amazing job.
Sidenote: You can be pretty darn sure that, if you have props at your wedding, they will wind up on the dance floor (and in all your party photos). I think this is a really good thing, but keep that in mind when selecting your props!
From the Bride...
"When Kris and I began to plan our wedding we thought about what style best defined our personalities. We settled on a vintage/natural "love birds" theme. Pretty much all the decor was hand made. The centerpieces were "bird baths" that added a lot of great elements to the table, flowers, water, candles, etc. The favors for the wedding doubled as the place-card holders, they were birdcage votive candle holders.
"I didn't have a lot of specifics going into the wedding planning. I didn't know much about flowers but I did know that I wanted my colors to by navy blue and green... a natural green. The bridesmaids carried green hydrangea bouquets that were bound together by twine. My bouquet was filled with roses, carnations, and little green berries. I let all of my bridesmaids choose their own style of dress because they all have such unique personalities! It was a lot of fun to see what they all chose from Priscilla of Boston.
"My dress had a lot to do with the vintage angle of our wedding. The dress was purchased at Priscilla of Boston and designed by Melissa Sweet. I tried to incorporate elements of our theme throughout all the festivities. Including small touches like the bridesmaid's little "nest" earrings. And the little bird cake toppers... etc. Our overall goal was to throw a tasteful and super fun event. Our venue had floor to ceiling windows all the way around the ballroom which showcased the sunset over the golf course perfectly. The church we were married in (Memorial Presbyterian) was small and had an old southern charm. It was styled after a colonial Virginian church which was perfect because that's where my family is from."
Thank you, Jenny, for sharing this pretty little gem with us... and thank you, Sarah and Kris, for letting us have a peek into your special day. We wish you all the best!
