Happy Christmas! Knowing our social media feeds are about to get flooded with brand-new ring shots and amazing e-announcements, today we've rounded up our absolute favorite engagement sessions from this past year. You'll find everything from simply sweet shoots to incredibly planned proposal stories, and stunning images from all around Florida's gorgeous landscapes. Cheers to all the new fiancés out there!
Christine and Reinaldo's Miami engagement session, captured so perfectly by our Fave Elaine Palladino, is one part photo tour of Little Havana, and one part ridiculously romantic love story. I just couldn't get enough of these two, their Cuban/Miami roots, and their sizzling chemistry.
Darling Juliet captured another amazing love story with Carina and Kevin, documenting their passions and personalities with a breakfast-at-home engagement session in their Miami apartment. Kevin, the chef de cuisine at Yardbird, and Carina, an artist and operations manager for Anthropologie, are a gorgeous and artistic pair, and Julia documented their love with a beautiful authenticity that tugs at your heart strings.
Katrina and Frankie's story is one of the sweetest - and most Floridian! - we've ever read. We were smitten with this Keys engagement session from Bob Care from the start, and how central the islands are to their love and their life together.
Ashley and Shelby met here in Florida, and have a love of travelling together; they documented both so sweetly in their session with Shea Christine Photography at New River Groves in Davie. And it certainly didn't hurt that they are a stunning couple with a fabulous sense of style!
I saw the pic of them together, in 7th grade, then read the bride's note: "I remember he had these black converse shoes with flames on the sides; I thought he was so cool."... and bam, this downtown Tallahassee e-sesh from Black & Hue Photography for firefighter Doug and teacher Courtney instantly became one of my favorites of all time.
Kevin and Buck's story is nothing short of adorable (as are they) and their amazing afternoon in Miami was captured so perfectly by Todd Good. I immediately wanted to re-share this goodness! We're finally on the brink of marriage equality in our beloved Sunshine State and that's making this New Year look even better.
I'm pretty sure I was
stalking browsing Chelsea Erwin's blog when I saw glimpses of this perfectly styled and oh-so-Floridian shoot. Roman and Erica were born and raised right here and their paddleboard e-sesh encompassed all the things they love most: local beer, coastlines, sunshine and each other. And there's that flamingo swimsuit, of course!
To be honest, it's kind of hard not to love everything from Leslie Hollingsworth, but sometimes she makes it so easy! Allison and Neil were stylish and comfortable during their private island portrait session with their pup. Their love for Florida's Panhandle tugged at my heart strings, plus it didn't hurt that she mentioned our wee blog here inspired much of her wedding plans!
The love letters, amazingly thoughtful proposal and sweet location choice are all reasons why I adore Tay and Reagan's cozy coffee shop photos. Add Melanie Gabrielle Photography and some locally roasted coffee to the mix, and you have a recipe for a deliciously good time.
I had the absolute pleasure of planning with Kayla and Blake during their engagement and let me tell y'all: they're just as fun in person as they look in this photo! A cruise down the Jupiter waterways with their dogs is exactly what they'd do on any given afternoon, so Kat Braman totally captured their personalities and lifestyle. Love that.
